John Heitmann is a partner in the Washington D.C. office of Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, chair of the firm’s Communications practice group, and a member of the firm’s Privacy and Information Security practice group.  He is recommended by US Legal 500 in Data Protection & Privacy and Telecommunications Regulatory, and has been recognized as a Client Service All-Star by BTI Consulting, ranked as a leading practitioner in the Telecom, Broadcast & Satellite and Data Protection & Privacy filed by Chambers USA and named as a “Trailblazer” by the National Law Journal.  He counsels extensively on compliance policies and federal and state laws governing privacy, information security, and telecommunications.  Through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), he is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP). He also is co-chair of the Federal Communications Bar Associations’ (FCBA) Privacy and Data Security Committee and has served as co-chair of the FCBA’s State and Local Practice Committee.





Jameson Dempsey is an associate in the New York office of Kelley Drye & Warren LLP. His practice focuses on telecommunications, information technology, and data privacy and security matters. Dempsey is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US). He is recommended by US Legal 500 in the categories of Data Protection & Privacy and Telecommunications Regulatory. Currently, Dempsey is also the media director of “Literacy In Motion”, an organization that seeks to promote literacy amongst children by providing age-appropriate reading materials for them. Prior to joining Kelley Drye, Dempsey clerked for the Honorable Roanne L. Mann, M.J., in the US District Court for the Eastern District of NY.
