Active Arizona attorneys must complete 15 hours of accredited CLE every educational year (July 1 – June 30), of which at least 3 hours must be ethics or professional responsibility.
Important Arizona-specific rule: self-study — including online courses like those on TalksOnLaw — is capped at 5 hours per year across all CLE subjects. You can take your full 3 ethics hours through self-study, but that leaves only 2 hours of self-study available for general CLE; your remaining 10 hours must come from live or group instruction.
