Legal all-star and nationally recognized sports law expert, professor Paul Haagen of Duke Law is the co-director of the Center for Sports Law and Policy. Professor Haagen is regularly cited on legal issues relating to sports in publications such as the New York Times, CNN, and the Wall Street Journal, and has consulted with pro sports teams and leagues on critical legal issues. Professor Haagen was formerly the chair of the Academic Council of Duke University from 2005 to 2007 and the senior associate dean for academic affairs from 1991 to 1993 and again from 2009 to 2012.
