Texas CLE Requirements
TalksOnLaw now offers Texas MCLE!
As an attorney in Texas, you are required to complete 15 hours of CLE credits every compliance year. A compliance year is a one-year period that begins on the first day of your birth month and ends one year later on the last day of the month that precedes your birth month. A maximum of 15 credits may be carried over to the next compliance period.
Yes you need “Legal Ethics” credits
Of the 15 credits required per compliance year, at least 3 hours must be legal ethics/legal professional responsibility. This includes topics such as managing risk and malpractice prevention. To find legal ethics/professional responsibility accredited courses just click the “Ethics” topic on our Talks page for plenty of options.
